In MemoriamAlways in our memory, Sue East

SUE EAST

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sue East this weekend, Sunday 12th May in the morning.

Sue has been a stalwart of Belsize for many years. She has always been loved for her wit and care by the players and all club members alike. She was often half of our entire away game support, alongside her ever-adoring husband Brian. She has been the rock behind all that Brian has achieved in his 40 years of dedication for both Belsize and Middlesex rugby.
Brian and Sue have a very special place in the Belsize Family. It is small consolation that, this season we were able to reward her dedication off the pitch with much success on it, due in no small part to her unwavering support.

Sue passed away on Sunday morning the 12th May 2019 having suffered a pulmonary embolism caused by a blood clot from the bruising of her left arm, after breaking her humerous bone the previous weekend falling on a flight of shallow steps.

She died peacefully and painlessly, albeit unexpectedly while at home with Brian.
Details of the funeral will be sent out soon.

From all of us at Belsize Park and the Rugby community , we send our condolences to the East family.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday 28th May 2019 at 11:00 at St Johns Church, 5 St Johns Road, Harpenden, AL5 1DJ. The church is about 10 minutes walk from Harpenden Station. After the service refreshments etc will be provided at Fowden Hall, Rothamstead (or Rothamstead Conference Centre) which is about 10 minutes walk from the church across the common. If anyone is planning to drive then it would be sensible to park at Rothamstead and walk to the church where there is limited on-street parking.

No black ties!
Please share any comments below that will be shared with Brian and family so that they can view in their own time.
